Ba Lua Islands are located in Thailand Gulf, in the south west of Kien Giang province which owns the famous Phu Quoc Islands.

Ba Lua Islands consist of nearly 40 small and big islands which spread around 70km2 of the water surface. The average sizes of an island is about 5km2. The biggest is Hon Heo which is 102m high, while Hon Re Lon is 124m which is the highest.

The average distance between the islands is about 1,000m and the shortest distance is just about 100m. The islands and the sea bay are still primary & virginal with peaceful nature, tropical plendor, tranquility. The whole area is like a combination of Ha Long Bay, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc. This area together with Phu Quoc and Ha Tien is one of the 05 Target Tourism Areas of Vietnam (the other 04 are Vung Tau, Nha Trang, Hue-Danang-Hoi An, and Ha Long Bay). This area is unique and you can't find else where in Vietnam of same tourism resources and beauty.

There are more than 800 people on 14 islands: Hon Heo, Re Lon, Doi Truong, Son Te, Nhum Ba, Nhum Ong, Nhum Tron, v.v.. united to be Son Hai village, Kien Hai, Kien Giang.
